Priscilla Wegars
Congratulations to local author Priscilla Wegars, whose recent book As Rugged as the Terrain has been named a co-winner for Best Book of 2013 by the Idaho Library Association. Ms. Wegars is an Affiliate Faculty member at the University of Idaho and Curator of the Asian American Comparative Collection in the university’s Laboratory of Anthropology. Her more recent books include "Imprisoned in Paradise: Japanese Internee Road Workers at the World War II Kooskia Internment Camp," "Polly Bemis: A Chinese American Pioneer" (which won an Honorable Mention from the ILA in 2003), and with Sue Fawn Chung, "Chinese American Death Rituals: Respecting the Ancestors."
