Anna-Liisa Hakkarainen is the illustrator of several picture books published in Finland, where she lives. She is the recipient of the Finlandia Junior Award and the Finnish Picture Book Award, as well as the Award of Excellence from the Biennale of European Illustration. Her paintings are exhibited in Europe and Japan.
