After School Bookclubs

After school book clubs for young readers, middle school aged children, and teen readers will meet at BookPeople from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. There will be book discussions and activities. Parents are welcome to attend with their child, but not required. No sign-up required, however we encourage you to email bookpeople@moscow.com and let us know if you'll be joining us. Participants should try and read the book prior to the book club meeting. Purchase of the book is not required. If you buy the book at BookPeople, you'll receive a 15% book club discount. 
 

Young Readers: for kids 6-10 years old, meets the first Tuesday of the month from 4pm-5pm. Reading new and classic first chapter books for children. Book discussion and activities. Parents are welcome to attend with their child, but not required.

Will start meeting again in September.

Middle-Grade Readers: for kids 9-14 years old, meets the second Tuesday of the month from 4pm-5pm. Reading new and classic middle grade novels for children. Book discussion and activities. Parents are welcome to attend but not required.

Graphic Novel Readers: for kids 8-13 years old, meets the third Tuesday of the month from 4pm-5pm. Reading graphic novels for a young audience. Book discussion and activities. Parents are welcome to attend with their child, but not required.

Teen Readers: for teens 13-18 years old, meets the fourth Tuesday of the month from 4pm-5pm. Reading new novels for young adults. Book discussion and activities.

June 26: Dread Nation by Justina Ireland

This will be the last Teen Reader book club.

 

Eija Sumner loves books and stories for children. When she’s not reading them herself, she loves to share them with anyone who has a minute or twenty. She’ll be hosting regular storytimes each week and after school book clubs for young readers.
